Fisher & Paykel Healthcare · Under the nose full face mask (hybrid, minimal contact)
F&P Evora Full
A compact full face mask with a thin silicone cushion that seals under the nose and around the mouth, leaving the bridge of the nose and your line of sight clear. It uses the same stability wing idea as the Evora nasal mask.
Usually suits
- Mouth breathers who find traditional full face masks bulky
- People who often have a stuffy nose or congestion (F&P lists this as a suitable patient)
- People who get bridge of the nose sores from a traditional full face mask
Design
- Under the nose full face cushion made of soft, thin silicone on a structured frame
- Stability wings and floating seal (Dynamic Support Technology)
- VentiCool headgear designed to let heat and moisture escape
- Headgear clips that unhook so the straps stay set
- Flap and flap vents plus exhaust holes, with a swivel on the short tube
- Operating pressure range 4 to 30 cm H2O, for adults 66 lb (30 kg) or more
Strengths and trade-offs
- Covers the mouth for mouth breathers without anything on the bridge of the nose
- Clear line of sight for glasses, reading or TV
- No magnets in the headgear clips
- Rated up to 30 cm H2O
- Under the nose full face masks can be harder to seal at the corners of the mouth for some face shapes than over the nose designs
- Only three seal sizes
- Extra Large headgear is not in the Fit Pack and has to be ordered separately
Finding your size
F&P provides a printable Evora Full sizing guide and its myMask app for size selection. The Fit Pack ships with the S-M seal fitted and spare XS and L seals, so you can try the alternatives if you get discomfort or leaks. The standard headgear suits most people; if the lower straps are too short to adjust, your provider can order the Extra Large headgear (400EVF122).
How to fit it
Unhook both clips
Make sure both headgear clips are unhooked from the frame before you start.
Place the seal
Place the seal onto your face so it sits under your nose and around your mouth, then guide the headgear over your head.
Hook the clips
Hook both headgear clips onto the frame.
Tighten in order
Gently tighten the blue upper straps first, then loosely fit the lower straps. Do not over tighten.
Seal with air on
Connect the swivel to your CPAP hose and turn the machine on. Repeat the gentle strap adjustment until it seals and feels comfortable. If it leaks, lift the seal off your face and reposition it. If the headgear touches your ear, adjust the top straps.
Common problems and fixes
Leak at the corners of the mouth
Lift the seal off your face and let it settle again with the air on, then adjust the lower straps slightly. If leaks continue, try the XS or L seal from the Fit Pack.
Air blowing toward the eyes
Reposition the seal and check the upper straps are not pulling the mask upward. F&P advises stopping and talking to your provider if you get eye discomfort or irritation.
Lower straps too short
Ask your provider for the Evora Full Extra Large headgear rather than over stretching the standard one.
Red marks around the mouth
Loosen the straps; the cushion is designed to seal with air pressure, not strap tension. Check that you have the right seal size.
Cleaning and care
F&P instructions: after each use, wash the seal, and wash the frame with the tube connected. After 7 days of use, wash the swivel and the complete headgear, and wash the tube disconnected from the frame. Hand wash in soap dissolved in lukewarm water, do not soak for more than 10 minutes, rinse thoroughly, check all parts are visually clean and let them dry out of direct sunlight. Do not use products containing alcohol, antibacterial agents, antiseptic, bleach, chlorine or moisturizer, do not use a dishwasher, and do not use ozone or UV "CPAP cleaners" (the FDA warned about these in 2020). F&P says to replace the mask no later than 12 months after first use, and insurance resupply is usually more frequent.
How often to replace parts
- Mask
- 1 every 3 months (A7030)
- Cushion
- Up to 1 per month (Medicare A7031)
- Headgear
- 1 every 6 months (A7035)
Supplies that can help
Soft fabric liners that sit between your skin and the mask cushion to reduce skin irritation, red marks and the noisy leaks some people get from …
A stand or arm that lifts the tubing above the bed so it does not drag on the mask when you turn over.
Pre-moistened wipes for a quick daily wipe of the mask cushion, mostly to remove skin oils between proper washes.
Plain, mild dish soap is the cleaning agent most CPAP makers and the FDA point to for masks, tubing and humidifier chambers.

Frequently asked questions
Is the F&P Evora Full a nasal mask or a full face mask?
It is a full face mask. The cushion seals under the nose and around the mouth, so it treats mouth breathers, but it does not go over the bridge of the nose like a traditional full face mask.
What size Evora Full seal should I start with?
The Fit Pack comes with the S-M seal fitted, which F&P sets as the starting point, plus spare XS and L seals. The printable sizing guide or the myMask app can point you to a size before you order a single size mask.
Does the Evora Full have magnets?
No. Its headgear clips hook onto the frame mechanically, and the user guide lists no contraindications. That makes it one of the options people with pacemakers or other implants are often switched to from magnetic masks; confirm with your clinician.
What pressure can the Evora Full handle?
F&P lists an operating pressure range of 4 to 30 cm H2O. Your prescribed pressure is set by your clinician, not by the mask.
