CPAP mask finder

Answer a few questions about how you breathe and sleep. We will show the mask types that usually work for people like you and why, plus the current models of each. Take the result to your equipment supplier or sleep clinic: a proper fitting matters more than any quiz.

1. Do you breathe through your mouth at night, or wake up with a dry mouth?
2. Is your nose often blocked (allergies, colds, a deviated septum)?
3. How do you usually sleep?
4. Do you feel closed in or claustrophobic with something over your face?
5. Do you have a beard or mustache?
6. Is your prescribed pressure high (above about 15 cm H2O)?
7. Do you wear glasses, read or watch TV in bed with the mask on?
8. Do you, or anyone who sleeps near you, have an implanted metal medical device (pacemaker, defibrillator, neurostimulator, metal clips or shunts, cochlear implant)?

This is general guidance based on how mask types are designed, not a medical fitting. Your prescription, face shape and pressure all matter. Many suppliers let you exchange a mask within a set period if it does not fit: ask before you buy.
