F&P Eson 2 Nasal Mask

A traditional over the nose nasal mask with a one piece RollFit cushion, a fabric air diffuser for quiet exhaust and ErgoForm headgear. It is still listed on F&P's US site.

Finding your size

F&P's printable Eson 2 sizing guide is printed on US Letter paper at actual size, checked against a real ruler, cut out and held to the nose to find the recommended seal size. Use a mirror or another person. The myMask app is an alternative. Headgear is sold in S and M-L.

How to fit it

  1. Size the cushion

    Use the printable sizing guide to choose S, M or L.

  2. Position the mask

    Hold the cushion over your nose and bring the ErgoForm headgear over your head so it sits high on the back of the head.

  3. Clip on

    Attach the headgear clips to the Easy Clip frame.

  4. Adjust with air on

    Connect your CPAP hose, turn on the machine and adjust the straps evenly until leaks stop. Stop as soon as it seals; extra tension creates marks.

Common problems and fixes

Red mark on the bridge of the nose

Loosen the upper straps first. If marks persist, try the sizing guide again or ask your provider about an under the nose nasal mask.

Louder exhaust than when new

Check the diffuser. A clogged or worn diffuser should be washed gently or replaced.

Dry mouth

Air may be escaping through your mouth. Try a chinstrap, or ask your provider about a full face mask.

Cleaning and care

F&P instructions: after each use, hand wash the mask (excluding headgear and diffuser) in soap dissolved in lukewarm water, no soaking over 10 minutes, rinse thoroughly. After 7 days of use, hand wash the headgear, and gently hand wash the diffuser without scrubbing it, neither soaked over 10 minutes. Dry out of direct sunlight. Do not use products containing alcohol, antibacterial agents, antiseptic, bleach, chlorine or moisturizer, do not use a dishwasher, and do not use ozone or UV "CPAP cleaners" (the FDA warned about these in 2020).

Is the F&P Eson 2 discontinued?

As of October 2026 the Eson 2 is still listed on Fisher & Paykel's US mask page with reorder codes for masks, seals, headgear and the diffuser. Stock varies by supplier.

What is the white fabric piece on the Eson 2?

That is the Advanced Air Diffuser, which spreads exhaled air to reduce noise and draft. Wash it gently by hand weekly and replace it when it gets worn or clogged.

What is the difference between the Eson and the Eson 2?

F&P lists both. The Eson 2 uses the RollFit cushion, ErgoForm headgear and Easy Clip frame; parts are not assumed to be interchangeable, so order by the model name printed on your mask.
