React Health (formerly 3B Medical) · Auto CPAP (APAP)
React Health Luna G3 Auto CPAP
The Luna G3 APAP (model LG3600) is React Health's full size auto CPAP with a built-in heated humidifier, a single control knob and a color screen, made by BMC Medical and sold in the US through equipment suppliers. It runs in fixed CPAP or AutoCPAP from 4 to 20 cm H2O, with RESlex exhalation relief, heated tubing support, an on-screen usage score and supply reminders. A subset of units with one firmware version is under a 2026 FDA Class I recall, so check your serial number.
On September 7, 2026 BMC Medical announced, and FDA published on September 8, 2026, a Class I recall (Z-2979-2026, classified August 19, 2026) of 20,160 Luna G3 APAP (LG3600) devices running firmware G3-2.00.76 with configuration G3 A20-31.cfg. A debug code in that firmware could make the device show an "Error" message and shut down when very high pressure, high breathing rate and high peak flow all happen at once. BMC upgraded the affected units to G3-2.00.77 in React Health's warehouse from October through December 2024, but says up to 196 units cannot be confirmed as upgraded. The units were made September 11 to October 18, 2024 and distributed nationwide October 29, 2024 through July 6, 2026. BMC reports no complaints or serious adverse events. FDA's notice says to keep using the device as prescribed until you get a replacement, check your serial number at https://en.bmc-medical.com/rc-adh.html, and contact your device provider; React Health's recall line is 863-226-6285 or 3B-Recall@reacthealth.com. Separately, as of October 2026 React Health's PAP devices page features the newer, foam-free G3 X and no longer displays the G3 APAP, although the G3 manuals remain on its patient resources page. We found no formal discontinuation notice.

Strengths and trade-offs
Strengths
- Heated humidifier and heated tubing support are built in, so you do not need a separate humidifier tub or tube controller
- Large chamber (about 360 mL to the fill line) lasts a full night for most humidity settings
- Push-down chamber release is designed for people with limited hand strength
- Four ways to get your data to your provider: cellular, QR code app, SD card and iCode
- On-screen Mask Fitting Test and usage score give you quick feedback without an app
- Runs on 100 to 240 V, so it works overseas with a plug adapter
Trade-offs
- A Class I recall in 2026 covers units with firmware G3-2.00.76, so you need to check your serial number
- React Health does not sell a battery or DC power cord for Luna devices, so off-grid or in-car use is not supported by the maker
- At 1.7 kg with an integrated tub it is a bedside machine, not a travel machine
- React Health does not sell to patients; parts, repairs and error code help all go through your supplier
- Ramp start pressure and the Auto features are provider settings, so some changes need a call to your clinician
Comfort settings you can change
These are in the patient menu. Your prescribed pressure and therapy mode are set by your clinician and are not covered here.
Humidifier
Sets how much moisture the heated humidifier adds: Off, Auto, or 1 to 5, where higher is wetter. React Health's rule of thumb: a few droplets in the tube in the morning is about right, lots of water means too high, and a dry nose or mouth means too low.
How to change it: With the machine powered on and not blowing air, turn the knob until the Initial Setup icon (the last of the five icons across the top of the main screen) is highlighted, then press the knob. Turn the knob to move to the option, press it to select (the option changes color), turn to adjust, and press again to confirm. Press the Home button to go back to the main screen. The option is called Humidifier.
Preheat
Warms the water before you go to bed so the first breaths are not cold and dry. It switches itself off after 30 minutes.
Set Preheat to On. The preheat icon on the main screen is grey when the humidifier is off.
Heated Tubing
Warms the hose to cut condensation (rainout): Off, Auto, or 1 to 5. Only shows when a heated tube is plugged in.
The option is called Heated Tubing.
Ramp
Starts you at a lower pressure and climbs to your prescribed pressure over the ramp time, in 5 minute steps or Auto. You can restart ramp as often as you like during the night. The ramp starting pressure itself is set by your provider.
The option is called Ramp; turn the knob to change the time.
RESlex
Exhalation relief: lowers pressure a little as you breathe out so it is easier to exhale. Off or 1 to 3, where 3 lowers the most. The manual describes it as a feature your physician enables, so if you cannot change it, ask your clinician.
The option is called Reslex.
Delay (dry-out)
After you stop, keeps blowing air at about 2 cm H2O for around 15 minutes to clear moisture from the humidifier. Set it Off if you want the air to stop instantly.
The option is called Delay.
Mask Type and Mask Fitting Test
Tells the machine whether you use a Full Face, Nasal or Pillows mask (or Other for non React Health masks). The fitting test shows a "great" icon when the seal is good and "need to adjust" when it is not.
Choose Mask Type, then run Mask Fitting with your mask on.
Accessories reminder
Sets replacement reminders for the filter, tubing and mask (30, 60, 180 or 365 days, or Off) and lets you reset each timer after you replace a part.
Use Accessories Reminder to set the interval and Accessories to reset a timer.
Backlight and brightness
Backlight Auto turns the screen off after 30 seconds without a button press, which helps in a dark bedroom; Brightness sets High or Low.
Options are Backlight and Brightness.
Cleaning and care
Replacement parts
- Tubing
- 6 ft (1.83 m), 19 mm inner diameter standard or heated tubing; React Health lists Luna G3 Integrated Heated Tubing LG3HT and Ultra Noir standard tubing UN100. The manual gives tubing an expected service life of 6 months.
- Filters
- Luna G3 reusable (black) filter LG38008, replace every 6 months; optional Luna G3 disposable ultra-fine (white) filter LG3F002, replace at least every 2 weeks per the manual
- Water chamber
- Luna G3 Replacement Water Chamber LG34510; expected service life 6 months
- Replacement notes
- React Health's resupply guide lists the Medicare schedule as of 9/27/2021: disposable filters 2 per month, reusable filter 1 per 6 months, tubing and heated tubing 1 per 3 months, water chamber 1 per 6 months. Check your own insurance. React Health does not sell parts to patients, so order through your supplier. Note that a React Health FAQ says to use either the black or the white filter, not both, while the G3 manual shows them stacked; ask your supplier which they want you to use.
Troubleshooting
Travel and power
React Health says the Luna G3 meets FAA requirements (RTCA DO-160 section 20 category T and section 21 category M) for all phases of air travel, and its August 2024 travel compliance letter lists the Luna G3 CPAP/APAP; print the letter and carry it with your prescription. Carry the machine on in its case rather than checking it, and empty the water chamber before you pack. TSA asks you to take the machine out of its case for X-ray; the mask and tubing can stay in. The power adapter runs on 100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz, so overseas you only need a plug adapter. React Health's FAQ says it does not make an external battery pack or a DC power cord for Luna devices, so do not count on using it on a plane or in a tent without wall power, and do not rely on a seat power port.
Your sleep data
The G3 stores your therapy data internally even if a QR scan fails. You can get it out four ways: the cellular modem sends daily summaries to React Health Connect (formerly iCodeConnect) for your provider; the React Health app (React Health now names the React Health PLUS app; older guides call it the 3B Luna QR Code app) scans the QR+ codes on the screen, each holding about 40 days, up to 90 days in all; the six number iCode can be read off the screen; and the SD card holds detailed data. React Health cannot give you your compliance report for privacy reasons, so ask your supplier or clinician. For your own review, OSCAR 2.0 added support for ReactHealth/BMC G3 and G3X machines from the SD card, and OSCAR 2.1.0 was released October 9, 2026, so use a current OSCAR version.
Supplies that can help
Distilled water is what most CPAP humidifier chambers are meant to be filled with, because it leaves little or no mineral scale behind.
The air inlet filter keeps dust and lint out of the machine and your airway; it is a cheap part that needs regular replacement.
Tubing with a built-in heating wire that keeps humidified air warm all the way to the mask, which is the main fix for rainout (water droplets …
The removable water tank of a CPAP humidifier; it wears and needs replacing, especially if it cracks, clouds or leaks.
A fabric sleeve that slips over CPAP tubing to insulate it, reduce condensation and make the hose feel softer against your skin.
A soft strap that supports the jaw to help keep the mouth closed, used mainly with nasal and nasal pillow masks to reduce mouth leaks.
A long, flexible brush sized to reach the full length of CPAP tubing so you can scrub the inside, not just soak it.
Plain, mild dish soap is the cleaning agent most CPAP makers and the FDA point to for masks, tubing and humidifier chambers.
A padded bag that protects the machine, mask, tubing and power supply in transit.

Frequently asked questions
Is my Luna G3 part of the 2026 recall?
Only Luna G3 APAP (LG3600) units with firmware G3-2.00.76 and configuration G3 A20-31.cfg are covered, and most were already upgraded in 2024; up to 196 units could not be confirmed. Enter your serial number at BMC's recall page (en.bmc-medical.com/rc-adh.html) and call your device provider if it is affected. FDA's notice says keep using the machine as prescribed until you get a replacement.
How do I change my pressure on the Luna G3?
You do not change it yourself. React Health's FAQ says changes to therapy settings, including pressure, must go through your physician or supplier, and many suppliers can adjust it remotely over the cellular modem. If the pressure feels wrong, call your clinician and mention it.
What does the usage score on my Luna G3 mean?
After each night the G3 scores you out of 100: up to 60 points for hours used, 20 for mask seal (full marks under 10 L/min average leak) and 20 for AHI (full marks under 5). A total of 75 or more shows Good, 55 to 74 Acceptable and 54 or less Needs Improvement. A low score that keeps repeating, especially a high AHI, is worth raising with your clinician.
Can I use a SoClean or ozone cleaner on the Luna G3?
React Health says no. Its FAQ states use of a SoClean device voids the warranty and there is no SoClean adapter, and the manual says damage from an ozone cleaner may end the warranty. Clean with mild soap or the Alconox method in the manual instead.
Does the Luna G3 work with a CPAP battery?
React Health says it does not make an external battery pack or a DC power cord for Luna devices. A third party battery is not something React Health supports, so check with your supplier before trying one, and plan on wall power when you travel.
Why does my G3 keep beeping "Leak!!"?
The machine sees more leak than it can comfortably compensate for, usually from the mask. Refit the mask lying down, run the Mask Fitting Test from the menu, and check the tubing connections at both ends. If cushions are older than a few months, ask your supplier about replacements.
