Tubing
CPAP hose hanger
A simple hook or hanger for drying CPAP tubing vertically after washing, and for keeping it off the floor.
Why it helps
Tubing needs to dry fully after washing. Hanging it so water drains out of both ends helps it dry faster and more completely than leaving it coiled on a counter. The FDA describes soaking masks and detachable hoses in soapy water and then hanging them up to air dry.
How to choose
Choose a hook or hanger that holds the tubing without kinking it and lets both ends hang down. Over-the-door hooks and wall hooks both work; place it out of direct sunlight, which ResMed says to avoid when drying components.
Frequently asked questions
How do I dry CPAP tubing after washing?
Rinse it, then hang it so both ends point down and water drains out. Let it dry out of direct sunlight or heat, as ResMed's guide describes.
Can I use the hanger overnight for my hose?
A simple hanger is mainly for drying. To lift the hose above the bed during sleep, a hose management stand is designed for that job.
